Peter Wright first joined the Symphony 40 years ago when he was hired at age 19 to be the principal clarinetist.
What do you want patrons of the Symphony to know about you?
That I am a member of the American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE) and that I have ridden roller coasters all over the world.
What would you be doing if you weren’t a professional musician?
I would be a theme park/roller coaster designer.
What do you do in your spare time (other than practice!)?
Visit theme parks to ride roller coasters.
What is your favorite thing about being a professional musician?
The exhilaration of creating live music for an appreciative audience.
What sport(s) do you participate in?
Working out in the gym and running.

What’s currently on your Ipod?
An eclectic mix of classical (just listened to Schumann piano music), pop (from Madonna to .fun) and Latin music (Celia Cruz, Olga Tañon, etc.)
