What do you want patrons of the Symphony to know about you?
That my husband Eric and I have a chamber music series, The San Marco Chamber Music Society, that they should check out. Concerts are free and you can see many symphony players up close and hear them in a chamber music environment. www.sanmarcochambermusic.org

What would you be doing if you weren’t a professional musician?
Have no idea

What do you do in your spare time (other than practice!)?
I love to search for bargains on Ebay and Craigslist. I especially enjoy buying something old to repair or restore. I’ve repaired and customized vintage Barbie dolls and refinished old furniture. Sometimes I like to look for unique old things that they don’t make anymore. I also occasionally sew and make unique oboe reed cases from old cigarette cases. I am also addicted to Dr. Who. I’ve probably seen 99% of Dr. Who episodes made since 1964.

What is your favorite thing about being a professional musician?
Not having to go to work 9-5. Of course I pay for this luxury by having to work nights and weekends, but I love what I do so it’s worth it.

What is your favorite food?
Fresh hot bread from the oven with butter

Who is your favorite composer?
Don’t have one

What’s currently on your Ipod?
Don’t have an ipod; I don’t casually listen to music. I am surrounded by it all the time and it’s always in my head, so I don’t often listen to music unless it’s a new piece the symphony is going to play.
