In addition to her violin talents, Carol Whitman has played the organ for the First Presbyterian Church in Fernandina Beach for many years.
What do you want patrons of the Symphony to know about you?
I am the daughter of an orchestral musician; my mother, Carol Hughes, played in the Louisville Orchestra for over 40 years. I am the very proud mother of three grown accomplished children, whose friends think my job is really cool. We've taken several road trip vacations and come home speaking nicely to each other! I played in the Louisville Orchestra for two years before moving south and have been in the violin section here for 32 years. I'm beginning my 10th season as principal music librarian; when you come into the library, you can expect, a smile, a smart remark and most probably, a hug!
