Stirring the Soul, Shaping the Future

The Jacksonville Symphony enriches the spirit of Northeast Florida through symphonic music. Help us to provide the most inspiring, enriching and engaging cultural experiences this season by re-imagining what a symphony can be.

Your gift creates exceptional, exciting and impactful art. In the 2015-2016 season the Jacksonville Symphony made over 300 appearances, including 80 signature mainstage presentations. And the 2016-2107 promises to be even better!

Your gift opens doors to symphonic music. Symphonic music is more accessible to everyone than ever, with Community Concerts, the bestbet Symphony in 60 concert series, Civic Orchestra, our young professionals program, UpTempo, and a variety of other exciting programming.

Your gift inspires 70,000 students annually. The arts unleash creativity, promote self-worth and balance a well-rounded education for students of all ages, and the Symphony offers masterclasses, student concerts, instrument zoos and school performances.

Meet Hazel Peters

Cadenza Society Member

“The Symphony’s presentations are very first class,” she added. “I would love for more people to see the Symphony and hear it. We shouldn’t take it for granted - especially the caliber of musicians who play in the orchestra.” Though Hazel and Joe are relatively young, they are already thinking about the future and how they would like to support organizations that are important to them. The Symphony is part of their planned giving. “It’s about sustaining it for generations. I know that the Symphony would welcome any amount to help in that effort.”

Meet Bunky Johnson, Conductor's Club and Civic Orchestra Member

“It was a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

Retired Navy Captian Bunky and his wife, Lillian, share a love for classical music and have been attending the Symphony since they moved to Jacksonville. This season, Bunky’s love for music and his 21 years as a Symphony patron and Conductors’ Club member took on a deeper meaning for him as a member of the Civic Orchestra. “I never imagined I would get to perform on that stage. It was a once in a lifetime experience,” Bunky shared. “It has changed my life. I’ve joined a community orchestra and am considering a third career!”
